Todd Wolf, DVM, ABVP

Dr. Wolf is a board certified specialist in Canine and Feline Veterinary Practice. In 1998, he earned the certification from the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. He is 1 of only 9 veterinarians in New Jersey with this advanced specialty certification*. Dr. Wolf is also recognized as one of the most experienced Avian & Exotic Pet Veterinarians in the nation, and has been treating his patients, and patients referred to him by veterinarians across the tristate area. Dr. Wolf is a skilled surgeon and operates on dogs & cats, and also birds, ferrets, rabbits, small mammals, wildlife, reptiles, amphibians, & even fish. He performs operations of all types, including cancer, orthopedic, soft tissue, thoracic, abdominal, oral, ear, eye, nasal, maxo-facial, and even advanced reconstructive surgeries. He is known as a tenacious & effective medical problem solver, especially when it comes to the most challenging cases.

Dr. Wolf graduated as a DVM with honors from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. Then he interned at the prestigious Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital in Akron, Ohio, Akron City Zoo, the Cleveland Zoo, and Sea World Ohio. Afterward he was an Emergency/Critical Care Veterinarian at the Animal Emergency & Referral Center in West Caldwell, NJ, and in 1998, created & opened Companion Animal Hospital & Avian/Exotic Clinic.

Dr. Wolf is a member of American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, NJ Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, Association Avian Veterinarians, and the Association Reptile Amphibian Veterinarians. He also serves on the NJVMA Political Action Committee, and is the equine Trail Representative for the NJ Trails Council/NJDEP.  Dr. Wolf is a founding member of the equestrian riding club, the Split Rock Riders, and was an animal cruelty investigator/officer for the Morris County SPCA. He has also devoted his time volunteering with the Parsippany Rescue & Recovery Squad, and as a veterinarian for the Brookside Wildlife Refuge in Boonton Township.

Kurchia J. Tsai, DVM, CVA

Dr. Tsai earned her veterinary degree from Purdue University in 1995. With a strong interest in pain management and geriatric medicine, she studied Eastern and Western veterinary medicine. One of the distinguishing aspects of Dr. Tsai’s practice philosophy is her holistic approach to veterinary care. She earned her certification in Veterinary Acupuncture (CVA) in 2000, from the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. She furthered her Eastern veterinary education by completing the IVAS Chinese Herbal Medicine course and soon was established as one of the top specialists in Eastern veterinary medicine nationwide. She spent many years teaching other veterinarians the art of acupuncture and complementary medicine with IVAS, and in 2014, was accepted as a member of the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management. Dr. Tsai’s expertise encompasses a wide range of veterinary disciplines, including preventive care, surgery, internal medicine, and emergency medicine. She is highly skilled at diagnosing and treating various conditions and injuries, and employs the latest advancements in veterinary technology and techniques to deliver the best possible outcomes for her patients. Apart from her clinical work, Dr. Tsai is actively involved in community outreach programs and educational initiatives. She believes in empowering pet owners with knowledge and resources to help them provide the best care for their animal companions. Dr. Tsai regularly participates in workshops, seminars, and public speaking engagements to raise awareness about important topics in veterinary medicine. From 2000-2002, she was the Treasurer for the Metropolitan New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association and was their President from 2003-2004. She has a deep passion for animal welfare and a deep commitment to providing quality care. By taking a holistic approach, Dr. Tsai aims to provide the most effective and compassionate care for her patients. Dr. Tsai loves to ride her horse, Harley in hunt paces and and on the trails. She still participates in canine competition obedience, herding and lure coursing trials with her dogs. Her son Kyle and husband Shawn get to share her time with 3 dogs, 5 cats, 2 birds, and many fish. She loves travel, exploring new foods and scuba diving.

Stephanie Turnbull, DVM

Dr. Stephanie Turnbull began her veterinary journey here at Companion Animal Hospital as a veterinary technician while  earning her pre-veterinary Bachelor’s degree. Afterward she graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine where she was the president of the avian club.  She also participated in the spay & neuter program for local pets, and worked with a colony of monkeys at the island primate center. During her senior year she completed an externship in exotic animal medicine & surgery, & a small animal medicine, surgery, & critical care externship at Eclipse Veterinary Specialists. Dr. Turnbull is a Certified Fear Free Veterinary Professional & enjoys surgery, cardiology, and endocrinology, as well as a passion for treating avian & exotic pets.

In her free time, Dr. Turnbull enjoys riding horses, hiking with her dogs, kayaking, & reading. She is an active member of the AVMA, NJVMA, Association of Avian Veterinarians, Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians, and the Veterinary Emergency  & Critical Care Society.
